Although the government of Dominica does not have any PPP experience, the country has implemented projects with private participation in the energy and telecom sectors. Following test drilling that provided evidence for Dominica’s geothermal potential, the government defined building a geothermal energy plant as a priority. Negotiations with different investors have been on going for a number of years.

Currently, there are no PPP Laws or policies; however, the country’s geothermal project is underpinned by a draft Geothermal Bill. The bill is currently in the process of being enacted.
